Jerzy Krótki – has more than 40 years of experience in the coal mining industry, including 27 years in mine rescue, and many years of experience in supervisory positions, managing teams of employees.

Graduate of the Faculty of Mining and Geology, Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, majoring in Exploitation of Deposits and Organisation and Economics of Mining, as well as Post-graduate Studies at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, in the field of Aerology and Mine Rescue.

Completed the course and passed the Ministry of State Treasury exam for candidates for supervisory board members in state-owned enterprises. Holds numerous qualifications, including for the Head of the Mine Rescue Unit for Underground Mining Plants and the Head of the District Mine Rescue Station for Underground Mining Plants, as determined by the President of the State Mining Authority.

Active mine rescuer from 1989 to 1997; from 1998 to 2016 a professional mine rescuer at Centralna Stacja Ratownictwa Górniczego S.A. (Central Mine Rescue Station). From 2008 to 2015, served as Director Manager of the District Mine Rescue Station in Wodzisław Śląski ? Deputy Head of the Mine Rescue Unit, advisor to the President of the Management Board of CSRG S.A. from 2013 to 2014, and then Technical Director of CSRG S.A. Deputy Head of the Mine Rescue Unit, as well as Member of the Supervisory Board of CSRG S.A. from 2009 to 2012.

From 2017 to 2024, worked at the Department of Mining of the State Mining Authority in Katowice, in the team assigned to ventilation, rescue as well as methane, climate, gas and rock ejection and radiation hazards. Since 2016, a member of the Hard Coal Industry Mine Rescue Team of the State Mining Authority.

Directly cooperated with other types of emergency services in Poland and abroad for many years, in particular with units of the State Fire Service, including during joint rescue operations.

Led a part of the research project, implemented by CSRG S.A.: “Development of protective clothing for mine rescuers” within the framework of the strategic project: “Improving work safety in mines” from 2013 to 2016.

In 2009, a member of the group responsible for organising and conducting training of mine rescue services in Colombia. Worked for the development of cooperation with mine rescue units both domestically and abroad. Co-supervised the preparation and implementation of international mine rescue competitions: Poland CSRG S.A./State Mining Authority International Mines Rescue Competition 2014.

He has authored or co-authored many specialist and trade articles and papers.
